Xiang Yang

Xiang Yang (b.1967) was born and raised in China and moved to the United States in 1998. Graduated from Central Academy of Design and Fine Arts of China in 1991, Xiang Yang continued his study in the Graduate School of China Art Academy in 1994. He has exhibited works at venues including Museum of Art and Design (NYC), Painted Bride Art Center (Philadelphia), Art Alliance (Philadelphia), Today Art Museum (Beijing) and National Art Museum of China (Beijing). His large-scale work, Harmony Tower, was commissioned for Future Pavilion, EXPO 2010, Shanghai. In 2015, his art project Ultra Architecture – East Meets West was exhibited along Thames River, London. In 2018 and 2019, Xiang participated Echigo-Tsumari Triennale and Setouchi Triennale. His work is in the permanent collection of art institutions including National Art Museum of China, Today Art Museum and Durham University. Now Xiang has lived and worked both in New York and Beijing.
