Exhibition Introduction

Qingpu which is the west gateway of Shanghai, based on the concept of “City-Industry Integration, City-Water Combination” is building a highly integrated “Green Water City”. Withindustrial transformation of Qingpu and fading of the manufacturing function of the urban riverside, the function of communication, leisure and physical exercise becomes dominant. The habit of living by water has determined that the waterfront space will become the most attractive place in the city.

Qingpu urban renewal is a key project of “the 13th Five-Year Plan” of Qingpu District. By constructing bridges, opening up the river tributaries that de-connects people, adding waterfront space and creating the urban living room of Qingpu , the Round-City Water Park is people-oriented, starting from the behavior of people, and constructs various activities space. The 21-kilometer waterfront space of Dianpu River, Youdun Port, Shangda River and Xidaying Port will be transformed into a public space that can be enjoyed by Qingpu people. There are squares, sports facilities, green roads and bridges for the people with LOHAS life experience. Our goal is to explore the city's memory, find Qingpu hometown feeling, create a new image of Qingpu in the 21st century, reshape the new paradigm of Water City of Shanghai and build the brand of urban leisure tourism of urban Qingpu.
