The site of the work is located at the old factory brand Shanghai Soap Factory. Shanghai Water Town was where fine salt was produced. The artist uses the pure white matter of “soap” and “salt” to design a space like a stalactite cave. The intention is to add a device that allows people to feel the history of the site in the space. He takes stalagmites as space theme, using the chemical reaction of soap and salt, trying to present the growth process of stalactites here. This work is not only visual, the smell of soap also stimulates the olfactory experience, allowing the audience to meet the history.
