Blue Necklace Xicen: Visions of Future Watertown—Shanghai Jiangnan Style Initiative, Xicen Pilot Zone

The Qingpu Satellite Exhibition is held at Qingxi Country Park, Shanghai’s only suburban wetland park. It highlights the “Shanghai Jiangnan Style” pilot initiative in Qingpu District, focusing on rural development within the broader framework of the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Demonstration Zone project. Through a variety of exhibition formats, including imagery, text, video, and detailed models, the exhibition presents two pilot projects in the district: Jinze Xicen Unit (“Blue Necklace”) and Baihe Shuguang Unit (“Fiber-Network”). The centerpiece, Blue Necklace Xicen, exemplifies ecological, spatial, and cultural integration as a pioneering model for rural revitalization. Complementing the displays, a series of public educational programs rooted in local culture and countryside traditions provide visitors with an immersive rural experience throughout the exhibition period.
